Ever since I moved to New York, the city has become an extension of who I am, of who I could become, and who I am constantly becoming. Chasing after a nameless feeling, and after stories unfolding all around me. Ever since I discovered the power of documenting people’s legacy, a few things have remained constant. My appreciation for human connection, and my love for creating. For capturing the way couples fall in love, the way they laugh together, the way they dance together, the way they get married, and the way they say “I love you” without ever needing to say the words. As I continue to grow and learn more about myself every day, I can’t help but reflect on how much this city and its people have given me, and on how it has shown me the tools that I for so long searched for and were already in me.
For me, photography has always been about intention. About paying attention to the people in front of me, and to the meaning behind every moment. I see it as a practice of noticing and preserving what matters most, so that years from now those same moments can be felt again. At the core, my philosophy is simple: photographs should remind us of the value of being fully present, of being fully loved, of being fully alive.
YOUR LOVE
THROUGH MY LENS
I'm proud of my immigrant identity. Because what a beautiful thing it is to start over and carry stories that don’t quite belong to one place or language or landscape, but live in the in-between. My life has been shaped by that in-between, too. Somehow, it finds its way into my work. not just in what I photograph, but in how I see, and how I listen, and how I care. That grit pushes me forward every day. because photography, at its core, is about remembering. About honoring what it feels like to be loved, to be seen, to be alive. What a privilege it is to be a witness to that nostalgia, to be a witness to the aftermath of souls colliding, and a legacy unfolding from there.
