Lindsey and Justin’s Deity Brooklyn wedding was everything a summer city celebration should be: intimate, intentional, and effortlessly stylish. Located in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn, Deity’s art-deco charm, moody interiors, and rooftop views created the perfect setting for a deeply personal day.
Lindsey got ready onsite at Deity, surrounded by her closest friends and family. She wore three different vintage gowns throughout the day, all thrifted from Housing Works in Manhattan. Each one reflected her unique style, paired with vintage accessories, long black gloves, and a lace robe her mom had found years ago. Every piece carried meaning.
Meanwhile, Justin got ready nearby at the Ace Hotel Brooklyn with his dad and groomsmen. After getting dressed, he made his way to meet Lindsey for their first look. From that point on, the day flowed naturally—full of softness, laughter, and the kind of quiet joy that lingers long after.
Their ceremony took place in Deity’s candlelit lounge, surrounded by glowing chandeliers. It felt intimate, emotional, and full of love. Afterward, we headed up to the rooftop for portraits with family, soaking in the view and late-summer light.
From the vintage Tiffany ring holder Justin discovered in Bushwick to the thrifted dresses and heirloom robe, every part of their Deity Brooklyn wedding felt true to them.
Lindsey and Justin didn’t want to be pulled away from their day for posed portraits or forced moments. They prioritized being present—and that shaped the way I documented their story. We kept things fluid and let the moments guide us.
After the ceremony, Lindsey changed into her second dress. She and Justin found a quiet moment alone, and I followed them into the room. In less than two minutes, I captured a few quiet frames against a turquoise wall. It wasn’t planned, but that’s what made it special. Honest and fleeting, those images ended up being some of my favorites from the entire day.
Later that evening, Lindsey slipped into her third look: a short vintage dress made for dancing. She rejoined the party downstairs in Deity’s basement, where the celebration kept going. The room filled with movement, laughter, and joy as she danced the night away, surrounded by the people who love them most.
This Deity Brooklyn wedding reminded me what weddings are really about—presence, connection, and a love that feels grounded and meant to be. No frills, no pressure. Just the two of them, fully in it together.
